Olga Gladchenko, participant of the project in the direction of “business idea”
In the context of the war in Ukraine, such projects have a double value. First, many people have lost their jobs and their usual lives, forced to radically change the field of employment and professional directions. Secondly, wartime dictates new rules of interaction between people, in particular in the sphere of business, provision of services. With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, I actively help people who have lost their homes and suffered from war to return to a stable psychological state. Crisis psychology for children and adults has become my implementation and a business that I started in 2022 and want to develop now.
Since the beginning of the work, there were many questions: how to do it right? how to work in the legal field? how to sell services? how to ensure quality marketing for yourself? I found answers to all these “how” in lectures and personal consultations of experts within the project “Choose the future”. Now I have an understanding of where and how to move next, I feel the resistance under my feet.
Lidia Cherniga, participant of the project in the direction of “business idea”
At the end of 2021, I opened my sole proprietorship and was preparing to launch my own business on access to drinking water for my community in Poltava region. But the war interfered with my plans. Over time, many people moved to our community, who were forced to flee the war and leave their homes. Providing the basic need of these people became an additional motivation for me, so in the summer of 2022, I launched my water treatment and bottling point. But I decided not to stop there. So I signed up for a project from “Ukrainian Professional Development”.
I completed a training program, enlisted the support of business coaches and marketers, gained skills in business management, promotion and advertising. Also, after presenting my business plan, I received a grant to develop my business. I purchased storage spare capacities, thanks to which it is possible to provide the community with drinking water even without light, without increasing its cost. In the next six months, I plan to conclude a contract for the supply of drinking water to neighboring communities, as well as to employ at least two people, including from among the IDPs of our community.
Olga Luschyk, soft-skills trainer in the project
We live in a difficult time that requires action, activity, concentration, new approaches, at a time when our nerves are stretched like strings and fatigue and sometimes despair from constant emotional fluctuations.
At this point, it is especially important to find support for yourself. Such support for the participants of “Choose the Future” was provided by coaches, psychologists and organizers of the project. Through the work of this team, the participants realized what their strength, how to become more flexible and resilient, found support to realize their professional path.
Larysa Zhilina, trainer of the “Employment” unit and consultant recruiter of the project
Now the “Choose the Future” project is extremely relevant for people. This is noticeable during trainings that help people look for work. I see the interest of the participants, they are open to active dialogue, ask questions, participate in practical work. All experts of the program, according to the feedback of the participants, not only give practical information about the upcoming steps in changing the career path, but also instill faith in the participants in themselves.
