GLOBAL INNOVATION PROGRAM FOR YOUTH UPSHIFT
Program for the development of project management and social innovation.
UPSHIFT is a global UNICEF program implemented in more than 40 countries and combines social innovation training, mentoring and financial support. The program provides young people with 21st century skills and resources to propose and implement innovative solutions to pressing problems in school, community, and city based on the Human Centered Design approach.
With the help of experienced mentors, teams of participants step by step explore the chosen problem, study the target audience, and test their ideas. As a result, teams create projects and have the opportunity to attract funding for their implementation.
During the program's existence, the team of “Ukrainian Professional Development” successfully combined and adapted UPSHIFT to different conditions and contexts: quarantine, online and thematic waves, combination of classical and digital methods, implementation of UPSHIFT methodology in educational institutions.
