The “Skills for Inclusion” project has two key focus areas:

Component 2. Set in progress

Participants undergo training on employment promotion, receive advice from a psychologist, recruiter, career coach, receive grants for vocational training, participate in a psychological support group, attend practical workshops from experts. a wide range of citizens (from 18 to 60 years old) who want to get a new profession or improve their skills and find a job. We train specialists in close cooperation with employers: a significant part of the training takes place directly in the workplace.

Additional opportunities for participants:
— Retraining or advanced training courses (40% theory, 60% practice);
— Support of the curator from the educational institution throughout the study;
— Assistance in employment;
— Search for a job on request.

Geography of implementation: Mixed form of education takes place in 52 educational institutions of 15 regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi Vets'ka.

- Agriculture (12 professions);
- Logistics (11 professions).‍

Training registration

Component 1. Completed.

This is a program for people who work independently, without being tied to an organization or company. Participants are trained and can receive a grant to purchase equipment or tools. aimed at supporting people who have retired from military service and people with disabilities. Within the component, participants underwent retraining or advanced training and received employment support.

Mixed form of training took place in 26 educational institutions in 13 regions of Ukraine:Participate in a 2-day training on motivation and goal-setting, where they are helped to determine the direction of activity and formulate a step-by-step action plan.

Areas of study:
- Electrician and electromechanic;
- Multi-profile machine operator (CNC);
- Specialist in diagnostics and repair of automotive electronics;
- Operator of an agricultural drone;
- Cashier;
- Specialist in radio communications and electronics;
- Locksmith and repairman;
- Tractor driver.

Participants received:
- Retraining or further training (40% theory, 60% practice)
- Support of integration coach, recruiter and psychologist (if needed);
- Assistance in the preparation of resumes and preparation for interviews;
- Financial support during training;
- State model document upon completion;
- Promotion in employment.

II stage. Personalized support, which includes the creation of a job search strategy, the preparation of a resume, personalized job selection, consultation with the recruiter and career coach.

Stage III. Vocational training and retraining courses. The project specialists select courses taking into account the wishes and needs of the participants, their education, skills, personal qualities, as well as the demand of the profession in the labor market and the recommendations of consultants.

IV stage. Participant's entry into the labor market. The participant is looking for a job on his own or with a recruiter. If necessary, a joint review of job search sites, telephone interviews, preparation for an interview is carried out.

Stage V. Post-project monitoring. The project specialists monitor the success of the participants' employment and, if necessary, provide additional support. Participants/these can re-obtain all necessary services to find a job.

Sergey, 56, a veteran with a service-related disability, discharged from military service, participant in the “Skills for Inclusion” project, studied “Agricultural Drone Operation.”

“You know, in our training group, there are many people like me—veterans discharged from military service due to health conditions, guys who have returned from the war. I see how quickly they grasp information and how cool it is for them to practice with these machines.

I rejoice and feel inspired when I see how this profession opens up new perspectives. I would like even more young men to be able to master a profession like this with peace of mind. To calmly plan for the future and develop our civilian technologies for good, not destruction.”

Artem, 38, has had a visual impairment since childhood and is a participant in the “Skills for Inclusion” project. He studied at the Kharkiv Center for Vocational Education of the State Employment Service, specializing in “Lathe Operation.”

“It is never too late to learn if you have a goal and the desire—at any age and at any point in life. For me, participating in the project was an opportunity to finally resolve my internal dilemma. Due to various circumstances, I didn't pursue a profession after school. Now, I am paying that debt to myself by studying. I am acquiring a specialty, and that gives me the most important thing: the opportunity to dream about the future and build it with my own hands.”

Nikolay, 47, a veteran with a disability and a participant in the “Skills for Inclusion” project. He studied at the Boryslav Center for Vocational Education, specializing in “Electrician for the Repair and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment.”

“My family already had electricians—my father worked in a mine, as did my grandfather. I already had many skills, but I wanted to deepen my knowledge of safety and learn about modern technologies. This training was a great opportunity to try new things and start from scratch.

I applied without hesitation because I am convinced that all limitations are only in the mind... During my studies, I was offered a job as an electrician in a city park, and I accepted. For me, a new profession is a step forward. I want to work in a field that genuinely interests me.”

Sergey, 29, originally from Donetsk, living in Dnipro since 2023, a veteran discharged from military service due to a war-related disability, and a participant in the “Skills for Inclusion” project. He studied “Agricultural Drone Operation” at the Dnipro Center for Vocational and Technical Education.

“I am convinced that the future lies in agricultural drones. During my studies, I saw how these technologies actually work and how much they can simplify a farmer's work: automating processes, using resources more efficiently, and reducing energy costs.

I believe that these approaches will soon be scaled nationwide, and I want to be ready: to gain practical experience, become a professional, and work for a progressive company.”

Vladislav, 25,
Originally from the city of Samar in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a veteran discharged from military service due to a war-related disability, and a participant in the “Skills for Inclusion” project. He studied “Agricultural Drone Operation” at the Dnipro Center for Vocational and Technical Education.

“Studying was very convenient for me: theory classes were held online, and I traveled to Dnipro for practical flight training. This was especially important for me because, following my injury, mobility remains a challenge even though I drive my own car. The educational process itself was interesting and truly engaging; I approached every practical flight with great enthusiasm. Now, I dream of buying an agricultural drone and gradually building my own business to provide services to farmers.”

In 2014, I was forced to leave Donetsk because of the fighting. First she settled in Kharkiv, and after 2022 — in Mirgorod. As a retired Ministry of the Interior, retired lieutenant colonel of the militia, I had extensive experience in personnel management and taught legal disciplines. However, when she moved, there were difficulties with finding employment due to age and the new city.

In 2017, a friend recommended contacting this organization. Here I took courses in HR management. It was a real start to my new professional life. I got a job at the training center “Planet of Knowledge”,
and later began to teach a course in personnel office management
in the same project “Perspective” for other participants.

Thanks to you, I was able to find a job and realize my potential again!
